Children's Ministry
 

Mission Statement: The Children’s Ministry Action Team strives to assist the congregations of Northeast Georgia Presbytery in nurturing the faith of our children by providing them with resources, experiences, and advocacy that takes seriously the sacred vows taken during the covenant of baptism.

The members of the Children's Ministry Action Team are:

On February 24, 2007, while the 62nd Stated Meeting of Presbytery was being held next door, the Children's Music Workshop was held at Saint Stephens Episcopal Church in Milledgeville. About fifty 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders from seven congregations participated. Their skill and enthusiasm offered an inspiring focus to the afternoon worship at presbytery meeting. Some of the children also served as liturgists. Gloria Burns, the key leader of the event, was pleased that the Leadership Development Ministry Team "...had an opportunity to make a statement about the value of children leading worship." Numerous adults gave of their time and talents to serve as choral directors, musicians, assistants, and behind the scenes helpers.
