Annual Salary Standards Review for Pastors

The Book of Order requires sessions to review annually an installed minister’s terms of call and propose for congregational action such changes as the session deems appropriate, provided that they meet the presbytery’s minimum requirements (G-2.0804). It also requires presbyteries to establish minimum compensation standards for pastoral calls and Certified Christian Educators and Certified Associate Christian Educators within the presbytery (G.30303c). An annual review of installed pastors’ compensation packages is conducted to ensure each meet or exceed the minimum guidelines. Covenant and interim/transitional pastors’ compensation packages are reviewed when covenants are renewed.

For congregations who have called an installed pastor, the clerk of session is asked to please download and complete the following form and return to the Presbytery’s office by February 28, 2024:
